Model B385 Electrodynamic Shaker
The Glotech/Ling Model 385VH Shaker is a wideband, air-cooled, electrodynamic shaker designed for continuous duty testing of small to medium sized specimens for product qualification, reliability acceptance, and production stress screening application.
The shaker employs Ling’s field-proven metallic half-loop flexures and high stiffness linear recirculating ball bearings for armature guidance. Heavy duty/ hexagonal head raised armature table inserts provide rigid, fettle-free attachment to test fixtures..
The 385VH body suspension employs the exclusive Lin-E-Air pneumatic isolation system which suspends the body on air springs located at the trunnions. This system incorporates linear bearings which restrain and guide the body motion in the thrust axis, simplifying alignment with auxiliary horizontal tables. The low natural frequency of this body suspension system virtually eliminates the need for expensive large reaction masses for most applications.
The new “E-Class” system ratings using the new Ling Digitally Modulated Power Amplifier substantially higher peak currents to be developed in the armature drive coil for both random and shock testing.
